Position: Biological Science Technician
Entity: LADGOV Corporation
Location: Lajas, PR
Duties:
-Evaluation of documentation submitted for the proposed restoration of the salt flats.
-Providing recommendations to the refuge manager.
-Participation in meetings, site visits and other coordination activities related to the project.
-Coordination of all activities related to needed permits for the project.
-Conducting migratory and resident bird surveys with an emphasis on the Cabo Rojo salt flats to ensure the availability of data.
Qualifications:
-The applicant should have knowledge of wildlife inventories and databases using USFWS internal systems for inventory and monitoring projects for a variety of natural resources.
-The applicant should have knowledge in habitat restoration planning and activities and be able to provide technical support to researchers and refuge operations staff.
-The applicant shall have a valid Puerto Rico driver’s license.
