“The EElab is looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and independent student interested in developing a Ph.D. project investigating the role of chromatin structure and epigenetic modifications during coral responses to global change. This position aims to strengthen our understanding of the role of epigenetic and chromatin regulatory mechanisms during coral phenotypic responses to environmental changes, in a teamwork environment. This position is exclusively laboratory-based, comprising molecular biology, biochemistry ,and bioinformatic methods, within complex eco-evolutionary contexts. This position is funded by the National Science Foundation Research Assistantship (36 months) and complemented by a Teaching Assistantship (24 months).”
-M.S. degree in Biology or a related discipline (training in genetics, ecology, statistics, and evolution)
-Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
-Strong hands-on experience in: genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, and bioinformatics.
-R. experience in chromatin methods ( histone extraction and analyses, ChIP seq. and ATAC seq.) are a plus.
