Description:
The NASA Earth Science Division (ESD) seeks proposals for projects that apply Earth observations to improve or develop decision-making activities in ecological conservation & management. Any area of ecological conservation is welcome (invasive species, protected area management, fisheries or wildlife management, habitat restoration, ecosystem services, rewilding, biodiversity protection). Projects must not only facilitate the transition of project products to public- and/or private-sector organization(s) but also ensure that these products are adopted for sustained use in their decision-making process(es).

Proposal Requirements:
-End User Participation: Clearly defined roles & responsibilities of at least 1 representative from each end-user organization within the project team.
-Statement of End User Decision-Making Need: Clear description of how the project products will be used for decision-making within the end user organization(s).
-Sustainable Transfer Plan: Statement of which organization(s) will host & manage the project products both during & after the project award period.
-Cost Share.
-Application Readiness Level (ARL) Assessment & Minimum Requirement: An assessment of the current ARL (at time of submission) & the expected ARL advances over the course of the project for any method, tool, or product as a result of the proposed project.
-Data & Analysis: Description of NASA Earth observation used in the project.
-Annual Team Meeting Attendance: Budget for all costs needed for transportation, lodging, & per diem to attend the 3-day annual joint NASA Biological Diversity & Ecological Conservation Team Meeting.
