Description:
BEYOND is an EU-funded Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network designed to train the next generation of water professionals who will drive scientific & technological innovation to address water quality challenges across Europe. Our network integrates expertise in hydrology, ecology, biogeochemistry, remote sensing, & environmental modelling, working across leading European universities, research institutes, & industry partners.

Available PhD Positions:
-Sedimentary phosphate remobilization & in-stream mitigation under climate change conditions.
-Colloidal nutrient fingerprinting of European river networks.
-Understanding the processes controlling the concentration-discharge relationships in rivers. -Nutrient processing in stream networks using high-frequency sensors & stable isotopes.
-A role for citizen science in water quality monitoring & protection.
-Assessing the disconnection between chemical & ecological status in river networks.
-Impact of low flows & intermittency on nutrient & carbon processing in fluvial networks.
-Nutrient export dynamics across spatial scales in current & future climatic conditions.
-Modelling agro-ecological agricultural systems for water quality & ecosystem services.
-Sensitivity of microbially-mediated nutrient cycling to pollutant stressors & climate change.
