“Manomet’s Small Grants Program supports early-career conservationists and researchers working on projects that directly benefit shorebird populations and species in the Neotropics. The goal is to promote conservation efforts, strengthen knowledge about Neotropical shorebirds, and integrate their needs into broader biodiversity and sustainable development initiatives. Projects with a focus on WHSRN sites or potential WHSRN sites are prioritized.
Requirements:
– Applicants must be nationals and/or residents of Neotropical countries (Central and South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean).
– Must have five or fewer years of experience working with shorebirds.
– Proposals should focus on shorebird species and populations restricted to the Neotropics.
– Projects must collaborate with local conservation agencies, research institutions, or NGOs.
– A small total project budget where the $3,000 grant is a significant proportion of the funding.
