Description:

“This grant supports large-scale, transformational habitat restoration projects that enhance coastal, marine, estuarine, and Great Lakes ecosystems, with a focus on improving community and ecosystem resilience to climate hazards. Projects aim to rebuild sustainable fisheries, conserve threatened and endangered species, and strengthen coastal economies. Priority will be given to projects that demonstrate significant regional impact, advance equity for underserved communities, and provide climate-resilient benefits.

Requirements:
– U.S.-based institutions of higher education, non-profits, for-profit organizations, tribal entities, state, local, and territorial governments.
– Projects must take place in U.S. coastal, marine, estuarine areas, or Great Lakes regions.
– Indian tribes and underserved communities are prioritized.
