“Florida International University’s Institute of Environment is seeking a Ph.D. student to assist in projects focused on understanding the mechanisms that control sediment and nutrient retention or release in flow paths (e.g., canals) across different landscapes, loadings, and hydrologic conditions. The student will work towards a Ph.D. in the Department of Earth and Environment in either a Geoscience Major or in the Natural Resource Science and Management Major depending upon the candidate’s background and goals. The Institute of Environment at FIU is known for providing unique learning opportunities, pioneering research, and engagement, with a focus on reducing uncertainty associated with achieving long-term sustainability.

Requirements:
– Prime candidates will have demonstrated the successful completion of a BS degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
