Position: PhD Graduate Teaching Assistant – Environmental Soil and Water Sciences

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Salary: $28,500/year + tuition waiver + health insurance (3–4 years, start August 2025)

Description:

“PhD position focused on soil science research (e.g., forest restoration, soil reclamation, carbon storage, riparian/wetland systems, forest soil health). Includes 20 hrs/week TA duties in Principles of Soil Science lab during fall and spring semesters. Co-advised by Drs. Charley Kelly & James Thompson.

Requirements:
– B.S. or M.S. in soil science, ecology, or related field; field research experience
– Strong data/stats/lab skills
– Communication skills
– ≥3.2 GPA (last 2 years); GRE optional
