“This grant supports applied research, outreach, and education initiatives aimed at promoting the responsible use and sustainable management of Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands’ coastal and marine resources. The 2026-2028 funding cycle emphasizes priorities from the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan, focusing on: Healthy Ecosystems and Habitats, Resilient Communities and Economies, Education and Workforce Development, & Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture.
Requirements:
– Eligibility: Principal investigators from universities, agencies, non-profits, and private corporations in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or the U.S. mainland with regional partners.
